It all began with a dream — two people who believed that great food could bring people together and build a life worth living. Their vision of opening a fast food restaurant was the seed that would grow into something far larger than either of them imagined.
Mr Devangbhai and Mrs Kalpanaben turned that dream into reality, opening Majedar in the heart of Gandhinagar, Gujarat. From the very first day, the restaurant was known for one thing: authentic, uncompromising Gujarati taste. Word spread fast. Regulars became loyalists. A community was born.
Over the years, Majedar became more than a restaurant. It became a landmark — a place where the flavours of home were always dependable, always honest, always Gujarati to the bone. The reputation for authenticity laid the foundation for something bigger.
Driven by ambition and a deep desire to share Gujarat's flavours with the world, Mr Dhruv and Mrs Jaina crossed oceans — settling in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. A new country. A new chapter. But the same soul.
The brand was reimagined and relaunched as Majedar Foods — a premium FMCG company bringing spice blends and authentic flavour products to homes across Canada and beyond. The restaurant spirit lives on in every jar, every blend, every pinch.
Today, Majedar Foods is growing rapidly — product by product, shelf by shelf, household by household. The dream that started with two people in Gujarat is now a three-generation mission to become a global name in authentic Indian food. The journey has only just begun.
Every great legacy begins with a bold dream. Arunaben and Nalinchandra dared to imagine a business built on the one thing they knew best — the extraordinary taste of home-cooked Gujarati food. Their passion for flavour and their belief in the power of food as connection planted a seed that would endure across generations.
Devangbhai and Kalpanaben took the family's dream and made it tangible. They opened Majedar — The Taste of Gujarat in Gandhinagar in 2015, pouring their hearts into every recipe. Their dedication to quality, consistency, and community turned a small restaurant into a beloved institution. They proved that authenticity is always in demand.
Dhruv and Jaina inherited the flavour and multiplied the ambition. Rebranding the family legacy as Majedar Foods, they crossed continents to establish the brand in Canada's competitive FMCG market. Their vision is global: to place authentic Indian spice blends on shelves and in kitchens around the world — without ever compromising on the taste that started it all.
